Bagyong Nando - Typhoon Nando PAGASA Update 2021

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released their weather bulletin update for Bagyong Nando - Typhoon Nando as it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).


Below are the details as released by the weather bureau based on all available data collected indicating its current location, strength, speed and direction.

Please be guided on the suspension of classes as scheduled by the Department of Education (DepEd) as stated on their guidelines released on May 28, 2012 - Prescribing Rules on the Cancellation or Suspension of Classes and Work in Government Offices Due to Typhoons, Flooding, Other Weather Disturbances, and Calamities

Winds 30-60 kilometers per hour may be expected in at least 36 hours


Preschool and kindergarten classes in the affected areas shall be automatically cancelled or suspended for both private and public schools.

Preschool, kindergarten, elementary and secondary classes in the affected areas shall be automatically cancelled or suspended for both private and public schools.

Winds 121-170 kilometers per hour may be expected in at least 18 hours


Classes in all levels are automatically for both private and public schools.



Localized Cancellation / Suspension of Classes


In the absence of typhoon signal warnings for Storm Nando from PAGASA, localized cancellation/suspension of classes in both public and private schools and work in government offices may be implemented by local chief executives in their capacity as chairpersons of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (LDRRMC).
